Hi, I'm Phil. I spent twelve fulfilling years in the advertising world working as a brand strategist. My professional path wound through Washington D.C., Richmond, New York, Chicago, and Seattle before I put down roots in the Bay Area in 2012. In 2014, I started my consulting practice, applying the skills I honed over the years to startups, venture capital firms, restaurants, and design strategy firms.
I started calling the consulting I do brand storytelling because it goes a step beyond strategy. It enabled me to inject more right-brained thinking into a left-brained skewing discipline. A strategy identifies a path, a story leads you down it. A good brand strategy is knowledgeable and accountable. A good brand story is memorable, relatable, and repeatable.
